Stanford Distance Education

OK, the basic plot:
A 16-year-old senior has the best life. She lives with her parents in a penthouse in New York City. Her dad is a very successful congressman, and her mother is an award-winning doctor (both went to Stanford). On top of that, she goes to a very expensive private school, is captain of the varsity cheer team, is the prettiest, most popular girl on campus, and also happens to be valedictorian and senior class president. Her future is also looking good, as she has very high chances to get into Stanford (or so her teachers say). However, her little paradise soon changes when her mother is diagnosed with cancer. Her mother’s case has no cure, and is very rare, and she soon dies. The girl and her father enter a serious depression, and soon her grades start to slip, her friends start shying away, she becomes suicidal, etc. Eventually, the dad can no longer see his daughter like this, so he sends her away to live with her wealthy uncle in Montana (at least until he can get his life back in order). While she is away in Montana, he goes through counseling and does other things to get his life “back in order”. In Montana, she is even more depressed living with her boring uncle and his mansion. It soon changes when she meets a guy. They fall in love over time, but she learns the terrible truth about him: he is a US marine, and is about to go back to war. She doesn’t want him to, but he has to because he has no money and it would make his parents happy. They decided to start a long distance relationship when he leaves, but decide to forget about it because she wanted more. So she asks her uncle if he can stay, but the uncle isn’t sure because they have never met. They do eventually meet, but the uncle doesn’t approve of the marine not having any money nor education. That night, the dad calls his daughter and brings her “great news”: he is no longer depressed and has his life back in order, and asks her to come home. She is very happy but refuses to go unless her boyfriend can live with them. The dad says no because he ‘doesn’t know him”. Then the uncle talks trash about her boyfriend, which makes the dad very angry and disapproving. In fact, he was so disappointed that she “messed around with the poor” that he ordered his daughter on the next flight to New York and banned her from ever talking to him again. This upsets her greatly, and she tried looking everywhere for him, but failed. Eventually, she can no longer take it and she tried running away, but failed because her uncle caught her. When no one was looking, she tried to commit suicide by using overdose, and died. In the afterlife, she sees her mother, her deceased relatives, and is very surprised to see her body in the hospital, surrounded by nurses and doctors trying to bring her back to life. Her mother convinces her daughter to go back, saying that love will find a way to bring her and her boyfriend back together. So she goes back, and eventually leaves the hospital, is reunited with her boyfriend, and her uncle sees how much they love each other, and convinced the dad to let them stay together. The dad and uncle agree to financially support the marine’s family and lets him live with the girl. When they go back to new York, she learns that she got accepted to Stanford, and they live happily ever after.

I was thinking about calling it My Marine but idk…
