We’re involved in a long-distance relationship, and although we try and get to see each other as often as possible, we can’t get to see each other half as much as what we’d both like to, but we’ve learnt to make the best out of a shitty situation. We talk on M.S.N. and webcam quite a bit, and we’ve also signed up to an online Sims-type virtual world, called I.M.V.U., and by chatting on there, it almost feels as though we’re in the same room together, sometimes. Anyway, today, my fiancée comes to me on M.S.N., tells me that she’s “had a shitty day today”- (her words, not mine), and that all she wants to do is have a total meltdown and cry in my arms, and for me to hold her tight while she cries her bloody eyes out, that she needs me there with her right now, but that she knows I can’t be ’til at least mid July, and that it’s really eating her alive. Well, for the record, I know exactly what she’s going through, ‘cos it’s driving me round the bloody bend an’ all, but there ain’t an awful lot I can do about it at the minute. Moving ain’t an option for either of us, at the minute. So, my question to you guys is, what can I do to help my other half feel better ’til the next time we meet up’ Only, we’re engaged now, so neither of us are taking this relationship lightly, and we both really want it to work and be for keeps. Any ideas, please’ I’m at my wit’s end- (which ain’t too bloody difficult for me), and I love my girl so much, and I can’t stand to see her in so much pain. P.S. Please bear in mind, like I said before, the fact that we DON’T wanna break up, so please don’t even suggest that! We’re both bloody serious about each other, very much in love, and we both wanna see this thing through, and eventually, spend the rest of our lives together. Ta.
