Can someone explain to me how I applied to 4 different places (Michaels Arts & Craft Store, Babies R Us, Boston Market & Wendy’s) first time with 3 of them. And they all told me they will not look or consider my application for employment and how much they thank me for my “interest” in their company.

The Boston Market shut the application process down when I said no to the do I have reliable transportation question. They told me they will not avert my application and to try again in 15 days when I have reliable transportation. I don’t control the public transportation. And it’s not even in walking distance.

I applied to Babies R Us before and never got a response. I tried to apply to toys r us shortly after and they said they got my app from when I applied to babies r us then. I called and asked and some chick said I had to wait. If I was considered for an interview someone would call. If not I woulda got an email. Never got an email. I remember because I was excited about working their and my dad had an issue with me working there because I didn’t have kids of my own and felt I shouldn’t be in that type of place helping people with an issue I knew nothing about. So I reapplied the other day. They told me they’re not going to consider my application at this time but maybe in the near future if I ever match what they’re looking for they might contact me again. Wtf’

I apply to Wendy’s which is close by to where I live. It is in walking distance but it’s like an 45-60minute walk. I applied and then I get that same crazy email about how they refuse to look at my application and refuse to consider it. Thats it no explainantion why an that made no sense to me.

Then I applied to Michaels & I was really confident. I love arts & craft and I love the store. It where I got all my supplies. I like Joanns too but Michaels my favorite for arts & crafts and Pat Catan’s is my favorite for painting supplies. Anyways sorry about that. I applied and I knew I was qualified for the position I applied which was a crafts instructor. I don’t know much about scrap booking but I know about jewelry making and basic knitting and there was something else I can’t recall. Since I consider myself a fast learner. I wouldn’t mind putting forth the effort to learn something new or I didn’t know to help my job performance. It took me 3 hours to complete that application and I had a headache from staring at the screen but I worked hard to make sure everything was worth it. Now if I failed the stupid placement test I can understand that. The last time I had math or did stuff like that was definitely college and that was in 2007!! Ok I would get that if they said that was the reason but they didn’t and said the same thing that they refuse to accept my application. I was stunned and really hurt. Because one job I felt comfortable with and confident about I got the door slammed hard in my face’figuratively speaking of course.

I even tried to reapply to the movie theatre again. Something I did a bunch of times during my college days. I didn’t watch thousands of movies and research hen the new ones are coming for nothing. It’s because I like movies. When I applied before I would just receive that thank you letter and nothing else. I tried to reapply all the same day. I was surprised the kept my information. So I true to login an every time I did that this error came up and said my browser needed to be close because cookies cache this and that. I’m like that’s bogus if that’s the case google chrome woulda closed and stop loading the page or close completely on its own.

So what am I suppose to do” Lie on the app to get the job but when they ask me to do something or something to thy effect and I can’t do it or I don’t know because I lied then I get fired. Then that would be a problem. Or lie about receiving welfare or something and then I get in trouble. How does someone apply to 5 places and receive a no.

I understand they’re not obligated to hire me. I get that. But how is it that I spend the early morning all day and nights filling out applications and no one is hiring me”

Is it because I don’t have enough education” No reliable transportation” Could be the huge gap on my work history” Or that I’m trained for the job or don’t have previous experience” Why are they even advertising hiring and all if they refuse to hire someone like me who wants to work and be able to do”’ I consider myself a reliable and dependable person and I’m a fast learner but is that not good enough”

What do I do” And this 15, 30, 60+ day wait to reapply is torture. What do I do” Or what am I doing wrong” Or should I just say screw it and just accept I’ll never get a job here in my own country”’
I do apologize for this being so long. So don’t get mad about it ok just bear with me.
